ART FOR HUMANS Lead Artist Paul McLean is accomplished in new & traditional fine art media and a pioneer in dimensional production and integrated exhibit practice.
McLean begins doctoral studies at the European Graduate School in Summer 2010 [Communications and Media]
The artist's current projects include:

- New paintings in the "I Love You, Monster" and 1000 Revolutionary Actions Series
- A new online book project, a sequel to the thesis, called "THERE'S NO ART IN HELL"
- An AFH proposal for a new WPA - the NEW Art in Action program [NAIA]
- The launch of the AFH MONSTER COLLECTIVE site and the AFHMC Social Network [Ning], to support a major collective production in conjunction with the ILUM + 1000RA project sequence
- The launch of two new AFH Ning projects
to prototype proposasl included in McLean's responses to questions posed during the Artists Perspective section of the six-week National Endowment for the Arts/Federal Arts Policy Forum (hosted by WESTAF, the Western States Arts Federation on Barry's Blog); McLean was one of nine US artists invited to particpate on this historic panel forum, which included luminaries spanning the arts field
- A family of new blogs
- The expansion of 4Dpop (through 2010+) into a Web 2.0/3.0 nexus for Dimensional Art + Digital Humanities exploration & collaboration
- Features such as an AFH Delicious site and an AFH Zotero library will add to research transparency and invite participatory threading mechanics (access to Zotero library by invitation and request)
- We plan to add moderated forums, several unified WIKI apps, polling and syllabus/curriculum repositories, and CMS tools for creative/educational collaborative production
- A November 2009 exhibition of "I Love You, Monster" to complement the Peter Drucker Centennial presentation of "Song of the Brush" (see Thesis)
- New animations, audio projects and video works (see AFH YouTube)
- The establishment of the American Commonwealth Party

LONG-TERM GOALS (General Aesthetic):
- The establishment of a multi-use facility for 4D production, presentation, conservation and education (+ community-building)
- The promotion and support of Dimensional (4D) studies worldwide, including:
- The establishment of a 4D Archive
- A library for documentation of 4D production, a catalog of historical references and influences, and other helpful humanities aids
- The development of a practicum for Dimensional art methods, in all modes (New + Traditional Media)
- The establishment of a Dimensional (4D) Art Festival
LONG-TERM GOALS (Artistic):
- The production of "I Love You, Monster" | An American Opera (14-year timeline, starting in 2010)
