Don’t think this is quite it, but like it anyway.
Enjoyed this diary entry at artforum. I was out that nite, too, and am surprised the author missed the incredible Kontainer opening. Francois of Chung King Projects, now ensconced in the olde AFHGC space at 945 Chung King Rd., sold out most of his current show to Saatchi. The Kordansky show was not great, though the buzz was. Ms. Smith’s show & the supportive presence of the LA old guard at the Box so far has been impressive since the venue opened. It’s definitely a family affair, extended to a powerful crew of old artist friends. & so on. The China Art Objects thing was dumb. Didn’t Black Dragon have something that night, too?
Also, Steven Day is showing at Indie Collective in Culver City. The press release is HERE.
