I’m a Master, now….

…But I don’t expect everybody to call me that all the time. We had a good party & took a few pictures, though mostly it was just a super fun celebration. Susan Joyce of Fringe Exhibitions dropped in on her way to the airport to pick up one of her artists for Saturday’s opening in Chinatown. Bryson Strauss, of the newly constituted Yarger/Strauss, on his way to Miami for the fairs, came by & even treated a few of us to dinner afterwards. It was a really joyous fest, & the works in the art building were terrif. Michelle Walker’s Master’s expo of sexy paintings across the hall in the Peggy Phelps Gallery kicked ass. William Ransom has a topflight install outside and Julie Dunker put together a compelling art/tech array in the installation room. Mainly, it was fun to eat Italian goodies, lots of chocolate, hobnob with profs, including David Pagel, who’s pictured pouring through pattern folios, and seeing a bunch of good friends who showed up to congratulate the artists.
