Are there fewer seams in the technoculture network than previously? Yes.

But mining an individual seam can have much wider reverberations.

Findings [Continued]:
MILO: Re: the Roosevelt work/jobs initiatives for Depression 1.0 government; I’m thinking those jobs programs to put guys to work during the Depression are remembered with such respect and affection by the Greatest Generation [the Great Society], except the free marketeer SUCKERS… because people acknowledge that without those community-building collective works in the run-up to WW2, the US would have been woefully unprepared as a nation to withstand the onslaughts of the Axis powers. The images in those CCC movies reveal the means by which the tremendous mobilization during the War years was achieved. Americans learned through the WPA, CCC and the other programs how to do collective work for the greater good. If one recalls Hitler’s and other despots’ views of US democracy at the time [including those of many of the SUCK industrialists and Nazi sympathizers, like Bush and Ford], one knows that the meme they shared was something like “democracy breeds decadence, laziness, selfishness, etc.” The monsters expected to roll over the US, to Blitzkrieg us to smithereens. Imagine if the SUCK-driven resistance to the government [so-called “socialist”] worker programs for Americans in Depression 1.0 had succeeded! It is doubtful that the unprecedented industrial power, unified by patriotic fervor, which eventually destroyed our enemies in WW2, would have ever occurred. Fast-forward to the present: It’s Depression 2.0, and the SUCK, enabled by corrupt and compliant government officials and a President [Obama], not possessing the mettle to stand up to the SUCK and their SUCKERs, manages to succeed in politically destroying America’s new collective response to the cataclysm wrought by the SUCK, by their greed and lust for power. What attack are we setting ourselves up for this time? Will it come from China? That’s the most likely case scenario. The SUCK are undertaking to normalize relations with Communo-Capitalist China, with just such an outcome in mind! They are aided by corporatists on both sides of the aisle, Republicans and Democrats, in the pockets of the SUCK, carrying out their SUCK agendas on a daily basis, to the obvious detriment of the American people. The whole operation is covered by a supportive SUCK-controlled corporate media, which only permits messages that push SUCK goals, while obscuring consequences for American politics and people. Without leadership responding forcefully and overcoming the obstacles blocking our country’s mobilizing to its own defense, in its own interests and its citizens’ interests, over the SUCK’s, it’s left to the American people to join with our many friends abroad to protect ourselves and preserve the democracy. If you need a picture painted, watch Ken Burns’ Depression-era archive movies, shot to promote the CCC and other programs and notice how they reverberate with the alternately horrific and inspiring images of US soldiers in combat during WW2. Watch the movies documenting the transformation of the US into a powerhouse industrial machine. Our wartime productivity in WW2 is legendary. Roosevelt proved through the New Deal that knitting together a fractured nation in crisis is a bottom to top proposition. This was an inestimably valuable lesson from the run-up to WW2, and it’s the reason we survived a 3-front war with the globalist military superpowers of that era. For comparison, ask yourself What did George Bush encourage Americans to do after the 9/11 attacks? [A.: Spend. Consume.] How did that strategy work out for the great majority of our citizens? If you listen to Limbaugh, Beck, that scumbag Mark Levin, and an equal number of mouthpieces on the so-called “Left,” in other words, if you listen to the SUCK corporate media machine, you’re listening to Tokyo Rose, basically. The Tea Party movement was designed by the SUCK-aligned agencies to prevent an effective mobilization at the grassroots level of outraged Americans demanding anti-SUCK action, in the nation’s defense!

(This is why there are jobs programs for everyday Americans, right now! #205)

(This is why your New NAIA proposals were shoved off the table by the NEA, Paul.. #41)

(We need to end all international trade agreements that send American jobs out of the country and consolidate our manufacturing power again, immediately! Our future as a democracy depends on it! This is why the auto manufacturers were crushed by Bush/Obama, and for what? So Toyota could get away with killing US citizens! #158)

(Larry Summers represented the USA at Davos - what does that tell you? #389)

(How many times in the past two years have you heard - from SUCKERS like Gates/Buffett - throughout the SUCK-controlled mediasphere - that CHINA is the future, and Americans had better get used to it… FUCK THAT! #714)

PJM: My Uncle Bob 50 years ago had to kill Chinese by the hundreds on Pork Chop Hill. Tell that bullshit to him! Now, having worked in LA Chinatown for a few months, being befriended by some of the incredible Americans of Chinese descent who populate that vibrant historical district (such as the Fongs), and having some incredibly rewarding cultural and interpersonal exchanges over the years, through martial arts, theater, restaurants, academia, and social concourse, I can offer that friendship and fellowship between Americans and Chinese is not only healthy, but incredibly vital. I just don’t want the SUCK as the mediator for my relationships with Chinese Americans or Chinese nationals. The US and China can have mutually beneficial relations, obviously. What remains to be seen is whether the interventions of the SUCK are going to pit us against one another, as brutal adversaries with the shared capacity to end all civilization on the planet, of if we can evolve as free nations engaged in sustaining activities that benefit all peoples.

(What about Tibet? #118)

The place where Condi Rice and Henry Kissinger, SUCK operatives in two of the most disgraced administrations in American history are still welcome? Davos. The kinds of things they say there?

>>

In due course, Rice says, “Let me just say a word to my friend and, really, my mentor, and somebody with whom I consult a lot, Henry Kissinger. Henry was the embodiment of someone who believed not just the art of the possible in diplomacy but in expanding what the art of the possible could be. And that’s really, I think, what you’re saying, Henry. If you just as a diplomat think, ‘All right, we have to deal within this little narrow square and we’re going to just talk until we find a conclusion,’ you’re really not going to solve problems. You may manage them, but you’re not going to solve them.

“If I take the example of your opening to China, this was, in fact, a revolution that we today are still benefiting from. And the good thing is that American governments, American administrations time after time after time, continued to expand on that opening and to realize that a productive relationship with China was in America’s interest and the interest of the world. . . .

V: Mark Levin, in his role as culture expert, expressively defends Larry Craig [Culture of Corruption: http://article.nationalreview.com/325882/culture-of-corruption/mark-r-levin]

(Bill Ivey would be proud of you, Mark! #50)

(Amazing the propaganda coming from the likes of faux patriots like Levin. Ditto MILO. The guy’s a total worm. & Beck + Hannity are intolerable. Limbaugh takes the cake, that fat fuck, though. Yesterday he called Speaker Pelosi a Mullah and said she was like people who send kids out with bombs strapped. These FOX and Rightee operatives are freaking traitors. They should be frog-marched into the street and shot by the cops. #418)

(No better in the rest of the SUCK media. Just subtler. All working to diffuse legitimate concern and anger by Americans trying to survive so we can be that beacon of freedom again in the world. Think of all the people around the world who’ve tried to get us off our asses and into the streets… Those images from Iran were heartbreaking. Paris, Brazil, everywhere, especially right after 9/11, then again after President SUCK [Bush] manufactured a quagmire to ruin the country financially, expose our weaknesses militarily, and divide us politically… People the world over took to the streets by the millions, practically begging Americans to assume a proper leadership role and stop the SUCK madness once and for all! The SUCK media crushed public dissent and our SUCK-loving leadership betrayed the American people — and when it all boiled to a head in 07, when a few real Americans finally pulled the cover off the machine, what happened? The SUCK and their American enablers put the screws to us, crashed the economy and left Obama nothing to work with and left one out of five Americans destitute or close to it! Somehow the SUCK got to Obama, and gave him an offer he couldn’t refuse. No prosecutions. No “looking back.” No accountability. All of us who voted for him have had to watch in horror as that incredible moment of opportunity, the election of America’s first black President, produced by the mobilization of a diverse voting bloc ready for a bright new American future, was squandered. Democracy was thrown under the bus to preserve the SUCK bankster system. They played chicken with America’s leadership - a game called “Too Big To Fail” or “We Do God’s Work” - and the President, the US SUCK-managed bureaucracy, the legislative and judicial wings, corrupted or selected by the SUCK, as a collective, chickened out. The consequences are all around us to see. There’s still time and the necessary resources for Americans to rise up collectively and crush these SUCKERS [which they are terrified we will do], but that opportunity is time-sensitive. It won’t last forever. The SUCK are praying to their strange and twisted gods, spouting babble, hoping that Americans continue to buckle under the astounding weight the SUCK have brought to bear to erode our collective independence. Think the Wizard of Oz, except the guy behind the curtain is not benevolent. He has been exposed again and again throughout history. He is the man behind Prima Nocta. He is Edward the Longshanks. He is King George. He is Rockefeller, Carnegie and Frick. He is Bush. He is a SUCK with 1000 names. And we can wipe him out like swatting a fly - which is why the SUCK hate America and hate our freedoms. We terrify them. They fear us. We have defeated them repeatedly over several centuries, now, but have never completely erased their power. The worst SUCK nightmare is that Frank Capra will rise from the grave and wipe them off the face of the earth forever. Take them off the grid. In their strange and twisted dreams, they have mashed up Capra and the Muslim suicide bomber [or the many other assassins who have been picking the SUCKERS off one by one over the centuries]. Today, the SUCK realizes that one assassin can vaporize a bunch of them wherever they gather. One dirty bomb at Davos - that is the SUCK clan’s most dreaded vision. It is why they orchestrate our wars against the desert peoples who live under the thumb of the oil barons and their local proxies. The SUCK pray the Bedouins are dumb enough to mistake America for their true enemy, which is actually the SUCK. But even more than the Hiroshima-of-One aimed at Davos or Salzburg, or the lone assassin in the night, the SUCK fears Robespierre’s reincarnation, and the resurrection of the guillotine… No one in all of history has struck such terror into the hearts of the SUCK, as the original Terrorist, Robespierre, a French democratic revolutionary. NO ONE. Not even the Russian Czar-killers… No one has terrorized the SUCK the way Robespierre, and his decapitation-loving mob have done. Certainly the decapitating-desert dwellers cause the SUCK to tremble. But Robespierre had a gift for spectacle that, in its dimensional echoes, to this day unhinges the SUCK. The SUCK are drawn to art that confronts those fears, that makes clowns of their enemies, that softens the impact of their centuries-old nightmares - of decapitation, of destitution, of displacement, of the SUCK’s being brought down, publicly, to the level playing field of democracy, by the mob, for the mob, of the mob. …All their gold and treasure, their family portraits, distributed amongst the people. Their ridiculous SUCK mannerisms and debilitating birth defects [the result of inbreeding] caricatured and mocked. Their devastating SUCK-ness, revealed in all its MEDIOCRITY, its HYPOCRISY, its EMPTINESS. The horrific INHUMANITY of their SUCK culture, their sick and twisted practices for raising their own children, HOW THE SUCK TURN THEIR OWN INTO MONSTERS. The SUCK seek the reflection of their monstrous ANTI-VALUES in the world around them. They crave worship by the people they prey upon and hate. This is why they are like JEFF KOONS or JERRY SALTZ or GEORGE W. BUSH. The SUCK are not satisfied by their incomprehensibly WASTEFUL PARASITISM upon the rest of humanity. Their self-reflected lie, their collective SUCK narcissism DEMANDS that the SUCK be elevated above all. Above God. Above Man. Above Life. THE SUCK IS EVIL INCARNATE. And evil incarnate is always destroyed, eventually, by man and the gods. Always. But what waste. What horror. What suffering, the SUCK cause. What chaos. What needless discord. What shame. The SUCK are the hub of the wheel of suffering. As mankind moves into the 4th dimension of perception, and the SUCK are revealed and exposed, it is our choice to eradicate them forever. I would encourage the people to do so, once and for all. Have no mercy. Remember your children and their children, and all those people these MONSTERS have hurt or broken, as entertainment or worse, for pleasure, in their SUCK boredom. #01)

(I just watched the House of Representatives very muted denouncing of Joseph Stack’s attack on the IRS building in Austin. The Congressmen memorialized the man who died in the crash. Not Stack. The US war vet/IRS worker. They couldn’t decide whether to call Stack’s Attack “terrorism” or not. #509)

(Re: Terrorism definitions on House resolutions - Do they need a refresher on Robespierre? “Virtue without terror is impotent” …Or were they thinking of 9/11? No problem defining terror there. Why not use the definition of Margaret Thatcher, a big SUCKER - “A terrorist is a terrorist is a terrorist.” …Or maybe they could quote Mother Jones, explaining the taking up of arms by Ludlow miner? The history of terror in the West is long, rich and multicultural. Robert the Bruce had a 25,000 Pound bounty on his head. The word terrorist wasn’t invented yet, unfortunately, or Edward Longshanks would surely have used it. The “Black” Douglas, Bruce’s compatriot and the Scottish antecedent to Nathan Bedford Forrest, was used in the abstract to terrify English children to sleep back in the 12th and 13th centuries. #261)

A proposal to give the Federal Reserve the primary responsibility for protecting consumers from abusive and deceptive financial products emerged on Tuesday as a potential breakthrough after months of partisan gridlock in the Senate over the terms of a broad overhaul of financial regulations.

But the plan, which would represent a fundamental shift in the role, if not the authority, of the central bank, still faced significant hurdles. Members of both parties, while not rejecting the idea outright, said they were leery, and consumer advocates said it would further empower an institution that had failed to keep mortgage and credit card companies in check and ensure fair terms for borrowers, even though it has had authority to do both.

I think Steven Tepper is correct about the way expressive life can be the umbrella for different policy realms.  To me things like IP law, media regulation, corporate archival preservation policies, revenue streams that flow to the arts industries and other elements are the “system” that defines the character of expressive life.  We can ask questions like “Will an extended copyright term enhance the expressive life of consumers and/or artists?  Does local newspaper ownership enhance the expressive life of a community?  Will the approval of a merger between two major motion picture studios improve or inhibit access to heritage film?  And expressive life can be home to a number of advocacy efforts that are now disconnected — arts funding, fairness in media, Internet access, free speech, the Creative Commons, etc., etc.  The new whole might be greater than the current sum of these parts.

Adrian Ellis is right to ask about what’s in and what’s out.  His list — hair dressing, mud-wrestling, chess, would to me mostly be out.  But frying an egg might fit if it were part of serious chefing, and home design or fashion would fit even if pursued by amateurs, and certainly things like social dancing would be in.  More problematic for me is political speech — probably has to be in — and religion…Can we accept music and visual art and great sermons but leave the dogma itself to that other realm, religious life?  It will be challenging and fun to figure out the contents of expressive life; there will probably never be agreement as to what fits along the margins but we can probably end with agreement on a solid core.

Andras asks what a vibrant expressive life would look like.  Good question.  Part of the solution is just access; everybody must have access to the materials of cultural heritage and to the tools of personal creativity.

V: I would submit that what we lack in America at the moment is the sort of courageous leadership, driven by bottom to top American principles, necessary for great collective achievement - the kind Roosevelt provided, in peace and war. Obama was elected to be that guy. His adversaries are working hard to make sure he doesn’t become that guy. They may already have succeeded. This is only true, if Americans permit it to be true. We can put the banksters out of business in a few weeks, days or months, simply by withdrawing our money from the banks they own. We can end credit card usury or the oppressive insurance scheme exactly the same way. Stop doing business with them. We can boycott foreign goods. No more problem with China or Japan. We can quit driving cars fueled by foreign oil or anything made of plastic. And so on. If our collective American experience in World War 2, Depression 1.0, if our history could teach us anything, it’s that America can do this. The SUCK is mortified that you’ll do just that, while you still can. You can tell the SUCK, “Stimulate This” or “Manage This” or “Global my ass” or “I Buy American,” and so on. You can demonstrate that the SUCK is not TOO BIG TO FAIL. You don’t have to participate in the SUCK plans. You can even actively participate in their defeat, in a hundred ways, every day. Americans can do anything we want, if we put our minds to it, provided we’re willing to deal with the consequences. How would you like to be free of SUCK oppression? Did you notice they managed to in large measure privatize NASA’s manned space program recently? You don’t have to accept it when America’s dreams are bought and sold by a tiny fraction of the world’s richest people. Fuck them. “Burn the banks.” “Eat the Rich.”

(That ditz Schlaes accidentally reveals what happened in the US financial/credit system at the end of Bush’s second term, when it became apparent that Obama would be elected: “a capital strike” that’s ongoing, and which has obliterated all attempts to jump-start the economy. Summary:
MILO: Obama is not FDR, because he is failing to do the things FDR did. Forget the Why. It’s clear what the Why is. The leadership of the country is corrupt. It is refusing to confront and defeat or destroy the enemies of the American people - and I’m not speaking of the Muslims in Afghanistan or Iraq. America’s greatest foe is the SUCK, the corporation complex and those who enable or enact the agendas that empower them over the interests of this nation and her people. As the Greeks said, “Burn the banks,” and “Eat the rich.” The Depression wasn’t just a time of despair and dislocation for the masses in America. The American people until very recently were not adverse to lynching SUCK fat cats and burning their homes, taking up sticks and guns and marching on the nation’s Capital and their state houses or county seats, when the seats of democracy were overtaken by the SUCK and their corrupt enablers. Change - as in political equity - didn’t occur in this country simply because SUCK Robber Barons decided to improve American life through “Venture Philanthropy” or benevolent agency, while the SUCKERS destroyed democracy in every other aspect of their dimensional activities in our society. Real, democratic change in the USA “happened” when those in power recognized that they would be destroyed, if they didn’t accommodate, the will of the people, what the SUCK calls “the mob.” Only force, unfortunately, pushing democratic reform, brought respite to Americans who hungered for freedom and fairness. Freedom from tyranny is the prime principle that this nation represents. Every time President Obama’s administration fails to enforce consequences on the SUCK imperialists and globalists, their warmonger, fearmonger, profiteer and anti-American SUCK proxies, and the artificial persons in the business of ruining people’s prospects or lives for profit and anti-democratic power, we move one step closer to the chaos of internal conflagration and external irrelevance. The run-up to the Civil War should have forever entrenched that teaching into the American consciousness. America had many, many opportunities to avoid that terrible episode in our history. Similarly, America is now engaged in a civil war. This time, we are engaged in a death-clench with the forces of the SUCK operating in this country and outside it, in a campaign to destroy our democratic Union. Think of that the next time you see Gardiner’s photos or the ones they published from Abu Ghraib. If we do not act, and act now, those timelines will converge in a SUCK-manufactured mashup that will spell the end of The Great American Experiment, and the beginning of a brutal and long period of pervasive SUCK tyranny, excess and crimes against humanity.

Caught in a bad romance

Endnote: If you’re wondering about my motivation for these dimensional analyses, they’re simple. I want to make the best paintings in the world, or at least the best ones I can, and I happen to be an American straight guy from West Virginia. Sincerely. [Saltz really hated it when I suggested I was really sincere, as if it mattered. That says much more about Saltz than it does about me. He is a lover of artificiality.] Knowing what motivates me and understanding my identity, heritage, tradition - it’s important. It’s a point of origination.

I want your loving
And I want your revenge
You and me could write a bad romance
I want your loving

THE GAGA PROJECT
A dimensional projection [as afterthought]

Oh-oh-oh-oh-oooh!
Oh-oh-oooh-oh-oh!
Caught in a bad romance

On the definition of *ARTIST

POSITIVE [assemblage of impressions]: I’m not Lady Gaga. [Another case study I’m looking forward to conducting] As far as I’m concerned, she’s not an artist. I get worn out by the massively funded push her Superclass toadies provide her. It reminds me of George Bush. I saw Gaga perform in LA just before she went global. Compared to Lucinda Williams… I wasn’t impressed. I’m still not. What interests me is the apparatus that is composited onto the person [Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta] in the Lady Gaga [artificial person] outfits and productions, and how it feeds on the *artist dream. I’m interested in the girl’s transformation into a Golem. [Introduced as a series of edited interview clips]

From Wikepedia: Lady Gaga is inspired by glam rock musicians such as David Bowie and Freddie Mercury, as well as pop music artists such as Madonna and Michael Jackson. She has also stated fashion is a source of inspiration for her songwriting and performances. To date, she has sold over eight million albums and fourteen million singles digitally worldwide… At age 17, Germanotta gained early admission to the New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. There, she studied music and improved her songwriting skills by composing essays and analytical papers focusing on topics such as art, religion and socio-political order. She later withdrew from the school to focus on her musical career. [Narrator]

COMMONALITIES: nomenclature, American born, New York City’s Lower East Side, Catholic education, art education at the collegiate level [Checklist]

NEGATIVE: (PJM) Some statements attributed to Lady Gaga [”I Love Your Monster”] echo the major memes I’ve been working on for 25+ years, which are blossoming right now, with the Cyclops and the American Ring Cycle [”I Love You, Monster”]. [From interview, continued]

GAGA: “You don’t know what pop is, because everyone was telling me I wasn’t pop last year, and now look—so don’t tell me what pop is, I know what pop is. […] It’s funny, because I fought and fought and fought, and I actually ended up having two covers, because I wanted to do this yin and yang presentation with the covers. [….] I don’t want to do a really glamorous photo of me rubbing myself like every other blond girl. I want my fans to see this image and say, ‘I feel just like she feels.’” [Wikipedia]

Artist Statement: It’s been a long day, but let’s play a game. It’s called Who’s the better artist? According to media sources and art commenters, Gaga claims to be a “performance artist.”

Rules: Let’s decide for the sake of this projection, that Gaga “performance artist” is [dimensionally] equal to [what I do], formally, as in type or definition, as in point of origination. Let’s agree, for hypothetic sake, we’re both artists. Statement: There’s no qualitative difference between our respective activities. It’s just an idea.

CORRELATIONS: Gaga; “The Fame Monster” (2009); “…In November 2009 she announced the release of The Fame Monster, a collection of eight songs that dealt with the darker side of fame as experienced by her over the course of 2008–2009 while travelling around the world, and are expressed through a monster metaphor.” [Wikipedia][also see “PHILANTHROPY” heading]

Control: We’ll base the contention on an outside source. [”Spencer Tunick, Terence Koh, Francesco Vezzoli…Does Lady Gaga Need An Art Teacher?” - Hrag Vartanian]

Configuration: Let’s put it to an artist death panel, trying to compare what Gaga has conceived and made as a performance artist to what I’ve accomplished over the Cyclops timeline [1983-2010].

>>

Panelist 1: Not fair! Gaga has not been alive as long as you have been making *art!
Panelist 2: Throw it out!
Panelist 3: Equal! [CGI-animated re-enactment]

<<

On the panel: Milo Santini; ZEELIO; and Veronica. [Let’s also, simultaneously pretend that the death panel is actually composed of the ArtStar panelists.]

Contract:

MILO/Jerry: Do you accept the challenge?
PJM: I will absolutely accept that challenge. [Onstage, on video HD]

Outcome:

[What does the artist death panel say?][MC]

{PJM: I’m thinking: There. That only took a second or two. I beat Lady Gaga’s ass, if we’re competing as “artists.”} [Voiceover]

Milo agrees. So does Zeelio. Veronica - YUP! We have a consensus. / ArtStar death panel? / “YOU’RE OUT, PJM!” [–]

[On the cutting room floor]

I’m also interested in the transformation of a normal American guy into a Hiroshima-of-one. I get the Joe Stack thing, because any dimensional artist worth his salt would. There’s a fine line between art and violent revolution. That fine line is the maintenance of a basic social contract [in my case American democracy] that provides each citizen redress of grievances and a fair playing field to operate in. The fact that Americans are generally good people in my experience doesn’t hurt, when I’m working to maintain my end of that social contract. I was brought up to care deeply about that contract.

For me, the “free market” doesn’t come first. “Free” does. Otherwise, you’re going to have Joe Stack all the time, and you’ll be told Lady Gaga is the new Michelangelo, and I guess you might just not have any other option than to believe that bullshit.

“Americans, though, aren’t the only good ones struggling under the thumb of the SUCK. Hell, everyone is! Ask the Greeks! Ask the Iranians [What - you don’t think there are good people in Iran? Think of that beautiful girl dying in the street with the bullet in her chest… Know anything about the history of Iran, or Persia, or the colonization of the Middle East by European colonial (SUCK) powers…]! Ask anybody!

“The only people who’ll defend the SUCK and the artificial persons collective, the corporate agents of SUCK and the rest are people who a) don’t know what’s up; b) have bought into Superclass propaganda or have been otherwise wedge[-eed] by same; or c) are SUCKERS or their agents, managers, associates, etc. “Burn the Banks.” “Eat the Rich.” Make great American [or French or ___________art]! Exercise your freedom, daily… I try to. Thank you, America, for that opportunity. Fuck you, SUCK, for trying to poop on that opportunity.” [Behind credits, blooper interview format]
